Welcome to my web site Crazy Ropes By Debbie Hanson
***NEW I am going to start taking tack and horse related art on as Consignment. I will put on my web site as well as set up at horse related events and sell tack. Check out my Consignment Page.
I started making rope tack almost 2 years ago. I started making Bit-Less Bridles for my lesson program. I did a lot of research on The Bit-Less Bridle to use on my lesson horses. I found most of them either were too expensive or I did not like the concept and design of the bridle.
I then found the Indian Bosal and loved that concept and ordered one made out of Rawhide to try on one of my lesson ponies. It worked pretty good but that one did not fit him so well and I really did not like the Stiff rawhide. So I started researching other materials to make one out of. That was when I found the Marine Yacht Rope that is used in making rope halters. I made bosals for all my lesson horses and they worked GREAT!
Next I wanted a complete matching Nylon Headstall. I found that having nylon in the barn it did not mold like a leather headstall would and worked great for the lessons. So I then found a way to tie the bosal into the nose of a Natural Rope Halter. I had a Complete matching Headstall for each horse.
But then due to family Health issues I lost my baby sitter and then had to stop giving lessons. I kept my daughters pony and my gelding and sold all the rest of my lesson horses. I then tried to sell some of my tack on ebay and to my surprise it has been selling like crazy. So now Instead of giving riding lessons I'm making tack. I have expanded my tack making skills to Spliced Leads and Reins as well as a bridles you can use with bits I now have a complete line of rope tack.
I am very proud of my workmanship and take great pride in my work. I know you will see that in the finished product. I hope you enjoy my web site and come back often. I'm going to be offering weekly specials so check back often to see what my specials are each week. Thank you for your Visit! I hope you come back soon!
